Biography

Chris Paige first came to the Poconos as a child to visit his grandmother, who was a hostess at Pocono Manor. Chris spent many summers at his grandmother's house in Mt. Pocono, where he learned to love the Poconos.

Today, Chris is an attorney and small business owner.  Several years ago, Chris co-founded Paige Capital Management, LLC, which is the investment manager for two hedge funds, Paige Opportunity Partners and Paige Opportunity International.  Hedge funds are similar to mutual funds, except that hedge funds may only accept investments from “qualified investors” while mutual funds, generally speaking, may accept investments from anyone.  As a small business owner, Chris has experienced the recession first-hand, and he knows how difficult and important it is to create more jobs and new businesses.  As an attorney, Chris can transform that understanding into law.

In the community, Chris is a member of Rotary and a graduate of Leadership Pocono.  He serves on the Board of Directors for several local charities, which focus on providing career education and internship opportunities to local youth.  For the past few years, he has – quite literally - played Santa for local disadvantaged children who might not otherwise receive any toys.  Previously, he was a Board member of the Union Settlement Association, which provides educational, healthcare and social services to the residents of East Harlem.

Before starting Paige Capital, Chris co-founded and eventually managed The Pace Poll, a think-tank at Pace University.  At Pace, Chris analyzed the relationships between public opinion and complex public policy issues, including the environment and economic development.  Before that, he was a writer, a prosecutor in Long Island, New York and an attorney.

Chris earned his B.A. at the University of Virginia.  He earned his J.D. at Yale Law School and his Masters of Arts in Politics from New York University.

Chris and his wife Michele live in Skytop, PA.
